Property Management Philosophy
At Northern Management, residents are genuinely cared for in all aspects, from maintenance to any neighbor situations. We are sensitive to the needs of our residents and listen to their concerns. Our goal is to establish a strong rapport with our residents so they will enjoy their apartment/home and are provided with the best possible experience.
Maintenance Service
We take a proactive approach to preventative maintenance and pride ourselves in follow up maintenance procedures. All service requests will be met by our team of qualified technicians. They are trained to identify and correct minor repairs before they become major repairs. All residents are made aware of our maintenance department and phone numbers. All work orders called into the maintenance department will be answered within 24 hours, by a member of our staff, on call 24 hours a day.
Reserving Your Apartment/Home
There are a number of different processes which need to be completed when reserving your apartment/home. A full application, application fee, a minimal carpet cleaning fee and a security deposit. Minnesota resident application fee is $30 each or $30 for a married couple, this covers the cost associated with processing the application. Both the carpet cleaning fee and application fee are collected prior to the move in date, instead of deducting them from your deposit. The security deposit is held in a bank account until you move-out and it is returned with interest, provided the terms of the lease are fulfilled. Once the process is completed we will hold your apartment/home until the start date of your lease.
Application Processing
We have a standard application process for all prospective residents. This process assures residents that they are moving into a home/community where all residents have been carefully screened to give you peace of mind. The process involves a five-step procedure. They include checking prior rental references, employment or income verification, criminal record search, income to rental payment ratio (approximately 30% of your income can be used towards rent) and a credit report. We understand that all of our applicants are "human". Most applicants have some type of flaw in their past history but we take a reasonable approach in processing your application. We take a look at the overall situation and carefully try to work with you, so that you will be provided with a comfortable new place to call home.
